In addition to setting up independent companies, regardless of their legal form, it is also possible to establish branches.
The independent branch, which is not regulated by law, is a company physically separated from the main office. It has a certain independence which is usually characterised by having an independent management, accounting system and ist own business assets. It has its own domicile and venue, but is not an individual legal entity of ist own.
A distinction should be made between the independent branch, described above, and the dependent branch. It has the character of a dependent branch sales office which is dependent in every respect on the main office, which is responsible for the central administration. Dependent branches can include depots or manufacturing centres of a corporation which in terms of location are separate from the HQ.
